Well, here I am at home. Heh heh heh.

I am supposed to be starting work around about - *looks* - now.

It's 10am, the late shift. I called RF, told him that I got some dodgy take-away last night and that both SK and I are ill.

Fuck him. Fuck them all. I really couldn't care less if they fired me tomorrow. Because I know I've got another job waiting for me at another place. I don't know why I don't just leave now. I guess a sense of loyalty to the people who depend on me...

Anyway, onto other topics of the day.

From Lessa's journal, I got a link to a site which depicts a new concept for the replacement for the site of the World Trade Center buildings.

The proposal for the new Center certainly a work of art, but in a sense, I have to disagree with it.

On the site itself, it says that they "... believe that a living memorial befits the lost souls of September 11 2001..." So do I, but not by building something that huge. To me, that's just rubbing it in the face of the people that bombed the original towers.

Then again, I could be wrong, I have read the site and knwo about the wonderful safety measures that have been included in it's design.

I still think that Ground Zero should be and remain a memorial park - no huge, outlandish buildings, no spiffy "cyber city"... Just a place where people can go in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the big city and pay their respects - without a slew of freakin' tourists with cameras marching through.

Second topic... starting from today, I'm going to be posting up a doll each time I make an entry. I love these things. I think they are so cute and I've endeavoured to draw some myself, though I am not terribly good at it.

There will be links back to each and every site I grab a doll from, just so you know.
