Don't get me wrong, there's a large handful people in the states whom I love to little bitty pieces.
But the US as a whole? Stupid.
The "shoot first, cover it up and say we didn't mean to later and it was their fault anyway" policy doesn't work for me at all.
I 'spose you guys all heard about the bomb that was dropped on a wedding going on in the middle east? Yeah. A group of gun-happy wedding-goers just celebrating by firing rifles, and of course... BANG-BOOM-DESTRUCTION-ENMASSE. Women and children slaughtered for no reason because US defence took it to be a "threat". Riiiiiight.
DUMB.
Way too trigger-happy for my liking.
You know what I find incredibly funny? The US defence force wants to kill Sadam Hussein because, by God, they just don't like him. He's not a happy guy, is he? Yes, I know he's a prick, I agree whole-heartedly, but when I heard that there was talk of assassinating him just to get him out of the way I just started laughing. That's just like kids who belt each other up because one won't let the other play kickball. The US government is PLAYING GOD. And no, it doesn't sit well with me.

Unlike the Yankasians who stand out a mile and talk "funny", English "tourists" can get away with it. And guaranteed, they will not need to bomb everything to the ground to do it.
Then again, the US forces are probably so vindictive about 9/11/01 that they want to make sure they get the asshole themselves to proclaim themselves heros to the world.
DISCLAIMER - Please note, I am not sympathetic to the Al-Queda and Bin Ladin plight. I hate them too. I want them to suffer as much as any red-blooded person who was affected by 9/11 - really slowly and painfully infact. But I think the whole situation has been dealt with in the fucking wrong way. Nor am I a tree-hugging hippy (except when it comes to the destruction of my most favourite place in the world along the South West coast of Victoria *angry sniff*), I think they should all be hung drawn and quartered, painfully even. But people HAVE to think before firing. What are you firing at? Is it really worth killing the little girl to get to the bloke holding her?
