I... should really try to update on the weekends, but I find I can't write properly when there's potentially Someone looking over my shoulder.
Oh well.
This weekend turned out to be a complete and utter fizzer. the three our drive to get to Jindivik from our side of town was pointless - though the Gippsland area is really purdy [country bumpkin talk for beautiful].
Redback Chilli Co was CLOSED. Apparently Haggis (the guy who runs the show) was away on a chilli sauce tour (don't ask me what that involves!) - this information only discovered from the nice lady at the Jindivik Smokehouse...
I spent lots of money today...
I bought smallgoods... some fantastic vintage cheese, some great fruit, some greek yoghurt, some kabana... and smoked wallaby.
Yes. I have officially eaten WALLABY meat.
And you know what?
It's good.
I wasn't going to buy any, because I wasn't really comfortable eating you know... an Australian symbol, but then I thought it would be the perfect way to get back at my sister. She's been acting all self-righteous recently over just about anything. I figured I'd let her eat something cute and cuddly and tell her after the fact.
She'll hate me.
It'll be worth it.
