Imagine being taken by a group of 14 men from one place to another - three different locations - being raped over 25 times and then hosed off and let go.
Imagine you're another girl being taken to a park and raped by a group of eight men.
Imagine you're yet another young girl, staked to the ground and held down by 14 men while one man and his brother then procede to rape you.
There was also one more woman who was attacked, but I know none of the details of that.
The ringleader for these crimes against four girls in NSW has been sentenced to 55 years in prison with possible chance of parole in 2040 for his 21 offences on these poor girls who were, at the time, 16-18 years old. This was in 2000. The attacks on the girls happened over a three week period.
He cannot be named until his brother (also part of the gang-rapist group) is tried for his part in the rape of two of the girls and has been known as "the defendant" or "X".
Supporters of the man (and his brother) are outraged. The mother of "X" swooned and had to be taken to hospital.
There is debate over the harshness of the sentence.

This guy is a menace to society - young women in particular - and should be PUNISHED.
Apparently some dickheads in authority believe that the "harshness" of the sentence sets a precedent for Australian Justice reverting back to how the law was when we were still a fucking convict colony. Puh-leeeeeze!
What has happened here is justice - a justice that is not a laugh in the face of the victims of this terrible crime against them. Too many times I've read and seen news reports on how rapists are free to walk from prison after three or four years. Stalkers are set free after one year, or are not even sent to jail at all. What comfort does this provide the victims?
The girls in this case will have at least 40 years to recover and heal as much as a girl can heal after experiencing a trauma like that. The only thing they fear are the other men involved in the rape seeking retribution for their friend and leader. It's safe to say that these four girls will never be free of their fear until all of their attackers are caught and thrown into the deepest, darkest pit.
In my opinion, the sentence wasn't nearly enough - and anyone who says I'm biased can go to hell, because, yes I am. Extremely. Try experiencing being used as a toy against your will, you will form the same opinion really fucking quick.
These men (and I use the term loosely) should be EXPOSED. Their names should be shouted from every corner of the country. They should be declared rapists and be surgically microchipped with their records. Treat them like the animals they've treated their victims like.
Fine, if you don't want to send the fuckers to prison for the rest of their lives, then castrate them - full castration. Sex change. Give them a hole to piss out of and that's it. Rapists use their penises as weapons of power. They ain't so powerful when their tools are gone. Most men would rather die anyway if they had their dicks stolen from them, so many would off themselves and we wouldn't have to worry about them.
