To say that I am over my current place of employment would be the understatement of the century. I am this close *holding thumb and forefinger just so* to throwing my computer at the boss and taking a hammer to my supervisors head. A very big hammer.
Yesterday, I heard something that I really didn't need to hear. I shouldn't have heard it. I shouldn't have been listening. He should not have said anything anyway in a very quiet period as everyone was busily not talking.
$35,000. $35,-fucking-000 per annum to butter up the newest edition of the helpdesk.
That is $10,000 more than what I earn for the same job.
It makes me wonder, really fucking wonder what my helldesk-mates are earning. For them to offer that much to someone who will be doing exactly what I am doing - without a trainee wage first is just... fucking wrong.
The real icing on this proverbial cake made of shit is that the Mother Company under which My Company falls has put a freeze on payrises for the year.
I can't believe it. No.. actually.. I can.. it'd be just like the assholes who run this office to do that. There's nothing like kicking people when they are down.
They know I'm struggling on the pay they give me, it's not the first time I've brought it up with them.
I really need to get out of here...
I figured I'll quit at Christmas... I'm going on an extended holiday... and I am NOT coming back... works for me. Hell YEAH.
SK told me to do it. We can change the phone number and I can change my mobile number and then I'll write That Letter™ and then be un-contactable.
Heh. I can't wait to give all the fake assholes in here a great big "Fuck you guys!"
